Snooki Sentenced To Community Service

Is Snooki the next Lindsay Lohan? According to the judge responsible for her sentencing Wednesday, she’s just a Lindsay Lohan "wannabe." Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, 22, will not have to face jail time, and will instead get off with two days of community service and $500 in fines. 

Snooki was arrested July 30 in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, during filming of Jersey Shore for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and later was also charged with creating a public nuisance. After initially pleading not guilty, the guidette opted to negotiate a plea bargain, pleading guilty to interfering with the quiet enjoyment of the beach. The other charges were dropped. 

Snooki’s lawyer defended her actions as "an anomaly in an otherwise well-lived life," but the judge did not seem to agree. "Rude, profane, obnoxious and self-indulgent is not the way to live your life," he told her. He went on to ask if her actions were scripted, saying, "only you can determine whether it was worth trading your dignity for a paycheck." It is unclear whether or not MTV will show the tape of the incident on Jersey Shore. –AMY LEE
