The Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson released his Netflix stand-up comedy special this week Alive From New York and hit the sensitive topic of his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande.
Grande released her hit song and album Thank U, Next last February. The song talks about her past relationships but more specifically her ex-fiance Davidson. Davidson slammed the pop-star in his stand-up on Netflix stating that he is entitled to make his own statement.
In his special, Davidson said, “I wasn’t going to do jokes about this, but then my buddy told me, he’s like, ‘Yo, I recently heard that Ariana said she had no idea who you were and she just dated you as a distraction,’” Davidson added. “So now I just think it’s like fair game. She has, you know, her songs and stuff and this is what I have, okay?”

The comedian noted that it was hard for him after the break-up with her song “Thank U, Next” playing everywhere. His grandfather even commented on the song. “Peter, it’s a slap. I’m really sorry. It’s a good song, and I don’t even listen to that s–t,” he said.
