Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman revealed on TikTok this week that Elon Musk had made her cry when he was a guest host of the show.

Fineman’s costar, Bowen Yang, recently shared a story of how an “unnamed” host had upset multiple cast members over their ideas for sketches, saying how he “hated” them.

“I’m going to come out and say I was the cast member [Musk] made cry,” Fineman shared on her recently deleted TikTok post. “He’s the host that made someone cry. I saw some articles, and I was like, ‘I’m not going to say anything.’ But I’m like, ‘No, if you’re going to go on your platform and be rude…'”

Musk responded to Fineman’s discussion about him, defending his reaction to her sketch.

“Frankly, it was only on the Thursday before the Saturday that any of the sketches generated laughs,” Musk said. “I was worried.”

“I was so excited, I came in and asked if you had any questions,” Fineman said, “and you stared at me like you were firing me from Tesla and were like, ‘It’s not funny,’ then started pawing through my script, saying ‘I didn’t laugh. I didn’t laugh one time.'”

Fineman said that Musk made her cry after she reportedly stayed up all night writing her sketch, only for him to react poorly.

Previously, Musk claimed that his appearance was going to be “unfunny” to the audience but “that it all worked out in the end,” he said on the All-In Podcast.

In the show’s latest cold open, Dana Carvey played the billionaire.

This prompted a series of X posts this week, in which Musk said that SNL has been “dying slowly for years” and that Carvey’s impression sounds like Carvey himself.

Since participating in SNL, Musk has made a series of critical posts on X, saying the show has become “woke” over the years.
