Slumdog Wins Best Picture

Slumdog Millionaire won eight Oscars Sunday night at the 81st annual Academy Awards, including best picture and best director. "Most of all we had passion and we had belief, and our film shows if you have those two things, you have everything," said producer Christian Colson told the audience. Kate Winslet took home the best actress statue, while Sean Penn won best actor for his role as Harvey Milk. The most emotional moment of the evening came when the family of the late Heath Ledger accepted the best supporting actor statue for his role in Batman. (Photo: WENN)
