Site Offers Reward For Information On Hacker Responsible For Jennifer Lawrence Nude Photo Leak

Porn site, SkweezME.com, is offering a “generous cash reward” for information on the hacker who leaked hundreds of celebrity nude photos over the weekend, including photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton.

Mike Kulich Offers Reward To Catch Celeb Hacker

Mike Kulich, managing partner of SkweezMe.com, explained the move, saying that the illegally obtained photos and the so-called ‘Fappening’ – a term that originally describes the distribution of these images as porn – go against a moral pillar of the porn site: consent.

“Consent is one of the keystones of the Adult Entertainment Business. Regardless of what anti-porn organizations claim…every girl that appears on film for any production company is there of her own free will. She is consenting to everything that happens on screen,” Kulich told Vice.

Kulich explained that the reward would come directly out of SkweezMe.com’s profits and would correlate to the importance of the information given, saying they will give the reward “to whoever provides us with the information leading to the apprehension of the party responsible.”

Kulich refuted the idea that his site was offering a monetary reward because the availability of free celebrity nudes might be detrimental to his business, saying, “Celebrity nude photos are a flash in the pan…at the end of the day, I think these users look at the pictures, say ‘wow,’ and move on to something else.”

Leaked Celebrity Nudes And Revenge Porn

Kulich continues to compare the leaked nudes to revenge porn, calling both a violation of privacy.

“The adult industry feels very strongly about consent, which is why it has been heavily involved in our support for legislation banning revenge porn, which has become illegal in a number of different states. Jennifer Lawrence’s pictures were meant to be private and whoever hacked her computer or phone had no right to ever see those pictures, let alone leak them to the world. We want this person brought to justice,” Kulich said.

After his interview was published, Kulich announced on Twitter that the promise of a reward has already turned up a “promising lead” with regards to the culprit who leaked photos of Lawrence.

Meanwhile, the FBI is reportedly investigating the leak as well and a spokesperson for Lawrence has vowed to take legal action against “anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”
