Sinead O'Connor Admits She's Suicidal & Living In A N.J. Motel In Facebook Video
Sinead O’Connor apologized for accusing TV host Arsenio Hall of contributing to Prince’s downfall and death by providing the late singer with drugs.
The Irish singer recently implied that Hall had been providing Prince with drugs for decades, a claim that Hall vehemently denies. About a week after Prince’s death, O’Connor made this claim on Facebook and Hall’s lawyers subsequently launched a $5 million defamation lawsuit against her. In writing, the lawyers described O’Connor as a “desperate, attention-seeker… now known perhaps as much for her bizarre, unhinged internet rants as for her music.”
Following this, O’Connor took to Facebook again. “I do not like drugs killing musicians. And I do not like Arsenio Hall,” she wrote. “He can suck my d–k. That is if he isn’t too busy sucking someone else’s d–k.”
Now, the Irish singer has changed her tune, and made an apology to TMZ. “I apologize for my Facebook posts about Arsenio to the extent that anyone thought I was accusing him of acting as Prince’s drug dealer and supplying him with illegal hard drugs, or insinuating that Arsenio had something to do with Prince’s death,” she told the gossip news site. “I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false, and I retract them unequivocally.”
All her original Facebook post have since been deleted, and Hall’s reps have decided to drop the lawsuit.
