Shonda Rhimes Loses More Than 100 Pounds
Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder, has lost a total of 117 pounds to get down to her current size. The showrunner recently revealed that she shed the weight for her three young daughters.
“I just decided I was gonna get it together and get healthy,” the 45-year-old told Extra. “I have some little kids, and I want to be around for them.”
How did Rhimes drop the pounds? The TV producer revealed that it was merely a matter of eating less and eating healthier food, as well as a new exercise regime. Though it proved successful, Rhimes admits that she didn’t exactly enjoy the process.
“I changed everything I ate — and I hated all of that,” said Rhimes. “And then I hate exercising, and I did that too, and I hated it the whole time.”
On Thursday nights, Rhimes’ three shows play back-to-back on ABC – Grey’s Anatomy at 8/7c, Scandal at 9/8c and How to Get Away with Murder at 10/9c.
