Shia LeBeouf Gets In Bar Fight In Canada
Actor Shia LaBeouf, 25, isn't likely to lose his image as Hollywood's latest bad boy anytime soon. The hotheaded star reportedly got into a bar brawl over the weekend at a pub in Vancouver, where he is shooting the new Robert Redford-directed thriller, The Company You Keep, with Stanley Tucci and Up in the Air's Anna Kendrick.
The Transformers actor and a second, unidentified man had been thrown out of the bar, Cinema Public House, where LaBeouf has been a regular during the filming of his new project. It's not clear what provoked the altercation, according to Vancouver radio station News 1130, but the other man, who ripped off his own shirt before the brawl, began repeatedly punching LaBeouf in the head. After being forced to the ground by the blows, LaBeouf tried to get up and charge after the man, but was restrained by a friend who said, "You gotta lay low right now!"
This is not the first time LaBeouf has found himself in trouble. In August he reportedly become unruly while out with his girlfriend Karolyn Pho and Marilyn Manson in Hollywood, according to the UK's Daily Mail. "Shia started shouting at his date and getting visibly angry," a source told Life & Style. In other scrapes with the law, the actor was arrested for a DUI in 2007 and for being intoxicated at a store in Chicago a year later.
The Company You Keep is slated for release in 2012.
