Shia LaBeouf is known as an actor and director, but it turns out he is a good rapper as well. LaBeouf is an avid hip-hop fan, and surprised fans when took on a rapping challenge. He appeared as a guest on the radio show Sway In The Morning, where he was invited to take part in a feature dubbed the ‘5 Fingers of Death’ challenge.
The challenge consists of performing a freestyle rap over five different beats. LaBeouf has tattoos of Tupac, Biggie and Missy Elliot, so he rapped over some of their beats.
Usually, the challenge is done by professional rappers, so to hear the movie star do so well was a real surprise. LaBeouf opened his verse with “Get ready, get set, this a meme/ This is wild, this a childhood dream,” revealing that he was just waiting for a chance to showcase his talent.
Commenting on his guest’s performance, host Sway said: “This is what the show is about. There’s no divisiveness in this show. There’s no discrimination in this show. You either got bars, or you don’t.”
