Actress and The View host Sherri Shepherd’s husband, Lamar Sally, has filed for legal separation.
Sally filed the separation papers on May 2, reported TMZ. His lawyer is Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represented Kevin Federline during his divorce from pop artist Britney Spears.
Like in the Federline and Spears case, custody will come into play as the pair is reportedly expecting a son via a surrogate in July, according to Fox News. Sally apparently wants primary custody of the child and visitation for Shepherd. Sally is also seeking to have their prenuptial agreement thrown out, claiming fraud.
Shepherd wed Sally in August 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago.
Shepherd was previously married to Jeff Tarpley, whom she divorced in 2009 after learning that he was carrying on an affair. From her marriage to Tarpley, she has a four-year-old son named Jeffrey.
