Actress Sharon Stone, 64, appeared at the screening of Crimes of the Future at the 75th Annual Cannes film festival last Monday in an emerald green ensemble that was nothing if not eye-catching.

She wore a custom beaded Dolce and Gabbana evening gown with detailing set in a vague animal pattern that almost resembled a cheetah.
The dress put a refreshing, jungle-esque spin on deep green, a color shaping up to be among one of this season’s hottest and most loved hues. Stone showed that she knew how to command the red carpet, with the jewel-toned green contrasting nicely with the carpet’s signature red.
The outfit, a strapless column gown that featured a mid-length train, made Stone appear statuesque and a sight to behold. A daring yet tasteful thigh-high slit allowed her to show off matching footwear.
Stone wore satin high heels with an ankle strap that shared the same detailing on her evening gown. Though subtle, her shoes brought the look together and showed that coordinating pieces are always sure to be head-turners at any event.
Aside from her bejeweled gown, what made Stone stand out from the other looks of the night was her notable lack of accessories, opting to leave her neck and wrists unadorned.
The absence of any jewelry, save for a pair of dangling circle earrings that were similarly bejeweled, was an exercise in selective emphasis that worked in her favor.
Stone’s makeup, much like her choice of jewelry, was minimal. She balanced simplicity with glamour by matching a simple mascara applied to her lashes with a darker pink lip shade.
The result struck an elegant contrast between the rich emerald of her dress in a look best described as timeless.
Stone is no amateur at knowing how to stun on the red carpet. She appeared at last year’s Cannes film festival in a whimsical blue dress made of tulle and topped with flowers that was easily one of the most memorable looks of the night. Stone is known at the festival as the host of the most notable party – the annual AmFar fundraiser.
