'Sharknado 2: The Second One' The Best Tweets

Sharknado 2: The Second One premiered on SyFy Wednesday night, and the campy, B-movie sequel inspired a huge array of equally entertaining tweets.

Many people in the Twitterverse live-tweeted the premiere of Sharknado 2: The Second One, inspired by the Twitter frenzy that took place during the premiere of the original Sharknado.

Some tweeted about the numerous – and ridiculous – celebrity cameos, which included Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick and Today’s Matt Lauer and Al Roker.

Other viewers spent most of their time commenting on star Tara Reid’s questionable acting chops and her character’s cosmetic transformations.

And, finally, a select few chose to incorporate current events in their Sharknado 2 tweets.

The Huffington Post’s Ethan Klapper summed up the night of Sharknado 2 tweets, writing, “Admit it, you are only watching Sharknado to tweet about it and get lots of retweets.”
