Shannen Doherty Documents Round Of Chemo, Continues Breast Cancer Battle

Shannen Doherty took to Instagram Tuesday to document getting a round of chemotherapy as she continues her brave breast cancer battle.

Yesterday, Doherty uploaded a picture of herself sitting in a chair in a hospital with her husband Kurt Iswarienko by her side as she prepared for a chemotherapy session. “There are many faces to cancer. This is one of them,” she captioned the black and white image. “Chemo Day With @kurtiswarienko by my side.”

Doherty also shared a picture of herself as a nurse administered the chemotherapy. “The many faces of cancer. Chemo Day. What we call the Red Devil being injected into me via the port thats in my chest,” Doherty wrote. “Dawn is my nurse who takes excellent care of me August 10, 2016 #cancersucks #fightlikeagirl.”

Last Month, Doherty documented shaving her head on Instagram, posting six pictures that charted her difficult to decision to cut off her hair as she continues her fight against cancer.

Doherty revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer last August. “Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment,” Doherty told People at the time. “I am continuing to eat right, exercise and stay very positive about my life. I am thankful to my family, friends and doctors for their support and, of course, my fans who have stood by me.”
