Shanna Kress at the Premiere of Sony Pictures Classics' 'The Leisure Seeker'
French musician and entrepreneur Shanna Kress attended the premiere of Sony Pictures Classic movie The Leisure Seeker, starring Helen Mirren and Donald Southerland.
Critics are already panning the Alzheimer’s film, dubbed predictable and pandering. Italian director Paolo Virzi seems to have botched his U.S. debut. Kress attended the premiere in a revealing dress, with transparent black siding and a front with closely embroidered leaves, giving the impression of chainmail. The model wore a matching choker, black nail polish, and black high-heels.
Despite the masters Mirren, 72, and Southerland, 82, in the film, it seems The Leisure Seeker is a movie to skip. Mirren, however, shared on the red carpet how much of a joy it was to act in the film. “It was the most blissful, extraordinary, humorous, lovely time of my life!” the actress declared. “It was a beautiful script about ordinary people getting through life and finding a way toward the end of life. Above all it’s a love story. So there were many reasons why I really, really wanted to be a part of it.”
Mirren was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in the film, but ultimately did not win. Instead, that honor went to Saoirse Ronan for her work in Lady Bird.
The Leisure Seeker opens in theaters on Jan. 19.
