Singer Shakira stormed off the stage at a Miami nightclub after catching a fan filming up her skirt during her performance.
Shakira was filming a video with Winnie Harlow, Anitta, Lele Pons and Danna at LIV nightclub this weekend. Videos from the event showed her smiling and swinging her hips as fans cheered until she caught one fan recording up her dress.
The clips show her waving a finger at a guest, pointing to her eyes and back at them. She fixed her dress and resumed dancing, but the fan seemed to continue their actions which resulted in the singer walking off the stage moments later.
Neither Shakira nor her team has released a statement about the incident, but her supporters have expressed sympathy for the performer on social media.
“People are GROSS,” wrote one X user.
“What happened to consent?” another said.
Shakira released her 12th studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, in March, and announced her world tour of the album one month later. The North American leg of her performances will begin on Nov. 2 in Palm Beach, California.
In December, Shakira’s hometown of Barranquilla, Colombia, unveiled a 21-foot bronze statue of the singer.
