Shakira has announced her highly anticipated world tour. In response to overwhelming demand, she announced on April 17 that she had added new dates to her U.S. leg of the tour.

Fans were treated to a surprise performance by Shakira on the first night of Coachella on April 12 when she took the stage alongside Bizarrap and performed a rendition of “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53.” The Latin superstar’s appearance left fans ecstatic, and the excitement escalated when she revealed her upcoming “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.”

Shakira took to Instagram to express her enthusiasm, “So stoked to finally announce that LAS MUJERES YA NO LLORAN WORLD TOUR is happening! Can’t wait to be back on stage partying and celebrating with my wolfpack! 🐺 Dates coming up soon — register for info / pre-sale access now! Auuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”

The tour announcement comes shortly after the release of Shakira’s 12th studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry). This tour marks her return to the stage since her successful “El Dorado World Tour” in 2018.

Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, released on March 22, showcases Shakira’s signature mix of pop, reggaeton, regional, and rock genres. Shakira revealed that the album represents “the transformation of pain into creativity, frustration into productivity, anger into passion, vulnerability into resilience,” in an interview with the Sunday Times.
