A gorilla named Shabani is taking a Japanese zoo by storm. Shabani’s male model looks has led to an increase in female visitors at Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Japan.
Handsome Gorilla Has Female Fans In Japan
Most people find animals to be cute and cuddly creatures — fun to have as pets, and entertaining to look at during a trip to the zoo. It appears that Japan has found a creature that surpasses the “cute” label and heads straight into the “sexy” territory. Shabani has been a hit on Twitter, being described as a “handsome, hot, strong male model type” with a piercing gaze and stoic face.
Shabani is a Western Lowland gorilla and has resided at the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya since 2007. However, only now, in the last few months has Shabani’s popularity had an impact on the zoo. According to Rocket News, zoo officials have commented that the handsome gorilla has increased the number of young women visiting the zoo.
Young women in Japan are using the phrase “ikemen” when speaking about the gorilla — the word means “good-looking young man” in Japanese.
