A Los Angeles judge has dismissed allegations against rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny Harris. The case was filed by a woman accusing the couple of sexually assaulting her in 2005. However, since the accuser alleged that the incident occurred 16 years ago, the statute of limitations has expired.
“Mr. and Mrs. Harris are pleased, but not surprised, by the district attorney’s decision to dismiss these meritless allegations,” their attorney said in a statement Thursday. “We appreciate the DA’s careful review of the case and are grateful to be able to put the matter behind us and move on.”
Although the case was dropped, the couple still faces accusations of coercion and sexual assault from multiple other women, who claim that T.I. and Tiny used their fame and influence to engage in “forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation.”
