Seth Rogen has joined the long list of celebrities who have publicly sounded off on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) within the past few weeks. However, their most recent exchange resulted in a multiple-day online battle.
Starting on Inauguration Day, Cruz took to Twitter to share his disapproval in President Joe Biden rejoining the Paris-Climate Agreement, stating that it “indicates he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh.”
Rogen responded to the tweet, firing back, “F— off fascist.”
This started a Twitter fight between the two, with Rogen largely criticizing Cruz for “a white supremacist insurrection,” referring to the Capitol riot weeks ago, which many have blamed Cruz for. Cruz continued to write Rogan off as an “angry Hollywood celebrity.”
Rogan took every chance he got to fire back at Cruz, even telling him that everyone who made the Disney movie Fantasia would hate him after Cruz shared his affection for the film.
Their fight came to what seems to be an end on Sunday, four days after it had ignited, after Cruz called Rogan a “moron,” to which he told him that his lies about the election “got people killed.”
The comedian finished his tirade by stating that he did not want their exchange to just be looked at as a “Twitter feud.”
“@tedcruz tried to overthrow our government. He inspired a deadly mob to storm the Capitol. And I think that deserves ridicule. So f— him.”
Cruz is no stranger to heated exchanges on Twitter, with his feud with actor Ron Perlman leading to Cruz and Mitch McConnell being challenged to a wrestling match against Perlman over the summer.
