Hannah Waddingham won in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category Sunday night at the Emmys for her performance in Ted Lasso. However, announcer Seth Rogan mispronounced her name and awarded the trophy to a slightly different Hannah: Hannah Waddington.
Unfazed, Waddingham delivered an apt and emotional acceptance speech before finally realizing the mishap backstage, after reporters notified her of the mistake.
“I didn’t hear that. It’s brand new information,” she told the room. “Oh man, I’ll have to call him Seth Ragin.”
