A Lotus Formula 1 racecar and a Lotus semi-truck broke the Guinness World Record for longest ramp jump by a semi over a racecar.

The stunt, sponsored and orchestrated by EMC Technology and Lotus F1, required the 14-wheeler to match the racecar’s speed, and jump off a ramp with enough height and length to pass over a F1 racecar. Experienced stunt drivers, Mike Ryan and Martin Ivanov drove the truck and racecar, respectively.

“It was scary,” Ivanov admitted after the stunt was complete.

EMC and Lotus F1 uploaded a video of the successful stunt to YouTube on Nov. 21, and, with a jump measuring 83 feet and 7 inches, the team earned a place in the Guinness World Records.

“We have been extremely fortunate to partner with Lotus F1 Team, a team that values innovation and new approaches to marketing. We at EMC are looking forward to continuing the technology partnership and redefining records in the coming years, “ said EMC Marketing Officer Johnathan Martin.
