Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani is now legally single. On Monday, Lazkani and her estranged husband, Jeff Lazkani, filed to be legally single, which the judge granted the following day.

Now that they are both legally single, the two are free to get married, file their taxes separately and begin the process of a name change. A name change from Chelsea is unlikely as that would mean rebranding her public image completely.

The divorce has been tumultuous, but the pair are on the same page now. In 2022, Chelsea filed for divorce first, citing irreconcilable differences; Jeff took a different stand, accusing his ex of physical aggression and stealing his belongings.

In Jeff’s filing, he alleged that the Selling Sunset star lunged at his face “in an aggressive manner, breaking his glasses and causing a small cut on the side of his face.”

The pair got together in 2015 after meeting on Tinder and immediately hitting it off. They moved quickly and married two years later.

It was Chelsea’s first-ever Tinder date after recently moving to Los Angeles. The pair’s meeting was not just a love match but also a career match. Jeff introduced Chelsea to Jason Oppenheim, founder of The Oppenheim Group, which led to her joining the brokerage and the cast of Selling Sunset.

The former couple have two children, Maddox, 5, and Melia, 4. At the beginning of 2024, Chelsea filed for joint physical and legal custody, but the current status remains private.

Season 8 of Selling Sunset followed Chelsea’s life during the divorce. The show highlighted the ups and downs of the divorce and balancing the family. But it brought more drama to the storyline; her costar, Bre Tiesi, informed her of the rumors of Jeff’s infidelity during their marriage.

“A friend I’ve known for a couple of years, Amanda, asked to go to lunch. She told me that her friend, who she’s still very close with and sees, lives at the W Hotel in Hollywood and that he saw your husband with some girl,” Bre confessed to her costar later, revealing that the pair had been seen making out.

However, the season showcased Chelsea’s resilience following the divorce as she worked to balance her personal and professional life as a single mother. Chelsea opened up about how the divorce challenged her emotionally and professionally but expressed gratitude for her support system, particularly her children. “At the end of the day, my kids are my anchor, and they’re the reason I keep pushing forward,” she said in a heartfelt confessional during the season.

Selling Sunset has been renewed for a ninth season. Netflix has not yet set a release date, but it is expected sometime in 2025. Filming for the season has already started.
