Selena Gomez & The Weeknd appeared very affectionate toward one another at the 2017 Met Gala Monday night.
The recent couple made their red carpet debut Monday night, and packed on the PDA. They were very touchy the entire time in the spotlight, and both sported huge smiles. The pair smooched plenty of times, and did not shy away from the cameras.
Selena wore a creme and pink colored Coach dress and looked cozy under the arm of her beau in a dapper black tuxedo. Gomez is in fact the new face of Coach, so it was appropriate that she wore the brand’s design.
“He definitely was open to the way I wanted to feel and present myself,” Gomez said of Coach’s creative director Stuart Vevers. “I wanted the look to be something different than anything I had worn in the past.” Her silk chiffon dress fir the bill, and featured vintage lace paneling and hand-sewn floral embroidery. “The color was different from anything I typically wear, and it’s been awhile since I have worn lace,” Gomez added.
The couple did their best to avoid Bella Hadid, with whom The Weeknd attended last year’s Met Gala. The pair split last November. Gomez attended the event solo last year.
