Selena Gomez revealed she made Justin Bieber cry during her appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday night.
"Last time you were here, you were with a Justin Bieber," David Letterman said to Gomez. "That's not going on now."
"No, I'm single. I'm so good,” replied the 20-year-old Spring Breakers star, to applause from the live audience.
Letterman, attempting to lure Gomez into making her first public announcement about her split from Bieber, offered, "Now, the last time he was on, he and I got into a conversation and he said something and I said something, and then he said something and I said something, and I made him cry."
"Well, that makes two of us!" joked Gomez in reply, getting even more raucous applause and guffaws from the crowd.
Bieber’s recent attempts to break away from his sweet boyish image, and into a tough guy who spits profanities at paparazzi and peels his shirt off at every opportunity certainly were undermined by Gomez’s offhand remark.
Gomez told Letterman that she has not started dating anyone new since her highly publicized split from Bieber. Meanwhile, Bieber's been linked to Victoria’s Secret models and most recently to British singer Ella-Paige Roberts-Clarke, but also seems to be remaining single post breakup.
