Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum celebrated the world premiere of their new romantic comedy Fly Me to the Moon at the AMC Lincoln Square in New York City.

The film, set to release nationwide on July 12, follows a NASA marketing expert (Johansson) and a man tasked with staging a fake moon landing (Tatum) after the White House deems the actual 1969 mission too important to risk failure.

Johansson, 39, arrived at the premiere with her husband, Colin Jost. She wore a custom Prada ensemble featuring a faille vichy top and skirt adorned with crystal embroidery trim. The actress completed her summer-inspired look with silver leather sandals, sparkling earrings, and soft pink makeup.

Tatum, 44, sported a navy blue pinstripe suit paired with black dress shoes for the event.

In an April interview with People, Johansson shared insights about working with Tatum for the first time. “Channing is such an easy-going actor, good-spirited and professional. Falling in love with him onscreen was pretty easy. He’s such a likable person,” she said.

Johansson, who also serves as a producer on the film, described the onscreen dynamic between their characters. “Kelly and Cole are such opposites. It was fun to play that dynamic with Channing,” she explained.

The actress highlighted her character Kelly’s progressive nature, calling her a “very modern woman living in a time where women were often underestimated.”

Fly Me to the Moon marks a return to the romantic comedy genre for both lead actors. The film aims to blend historical intrigue with lighthearted romance, set against the backdrop of one of America’s most significant technological achievements.
