Sasha Obama, the youngest daughter of former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, celebrated her 23rd birthday with loving online tributes from her parents.
Michelle Obama marked the occasion by posting a photo on Instagram showing the two embracing on a rooftop. The former first lady’s caption read: “Happy birthday, Sasha! You make me so incredibly proud. Hope this year brings you everything you want and more. Love you.”
In the image, Sasha looked stylish in a colorful midi dress and rainbow platform heels while her mother wore a sheer black top and pants.
Celebrities including Rita Wilson, Loni Love and Viola Davis joined in wishing Sasha a happy birthday in the comments.
Barack Obama also shared a heartwarming throwback picture of himself cradling baby Sasha on a lawn.
“Happy birthday, Sasha! It’s been such a joy to watch you make your own way in the world…and you’re just getting started!” the former president, 62, wrote on Instagram.
The Obamas are also parents to 25-year-old daughter, Malia. When Barack took office as the 44th president in 2009, Malia and Sasha were 10 and 7 years old, respectively.
Since the family left the White House in 2017, the Obama sisters have grown into young adults pursuing their own paths. Sasha graduated from the University of Southern California last year, while Malia earned a degree from Harvard University in 2021.
