Sarah Palin’s Oldest Son, Track Palin, Arrested Again For Domestic Violence
Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin‘s oldest son Track Palin has been arrested on domestic violence charges.
TRACK PALIN ARRESTED ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGES
Track was arrested Saturday in Wasilla, Alaska, and marks the second time in two years he’s been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. The 28-year-old was brought to court Sunday on three counts – felony burglary, misdemeanor reckless assault, and misdemeanor criminal mischief for causing up to $999 in property damages. The felony burglary charge implies that Track either harmed or attempted to harm another person during his crime.
At this time, no information has been given about Track’s court date or bond status. He was being held at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer, Alaska, as of Sunday. A rep for the family would not release more details. “Given the nature of actions addressed last night by law enforcement and the charges involved, the Palins are unable to comment further,” attorney John Tiemessen said in a statement to NBC News. “They ask that the family’s privacy is respected during this challenging situation just as others dealing with a struggling family member would also request.”
In 2016, Track was arrested on a domestic violence charge, which included a misdemeanor assault for interfering with a domestic violence report. At the time, he took a plea deal, which dismissed some charges, while he pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm while intoxicated.
In 2008, Track’s mother Sarah Palin ran as vice president on the losing ticket for Sen. John McCain, who lost to Barack Obama and VP Joe Biden. Palin has since been a proponent of conservatism and a television personality. She has a strong presence among tea part Republicans.
