Sarah Palin Vents Her Frustration At Trump After Failing To Get A Cabinet Position

In recent social media posts, Sarah Palin appeared to be venturing her frustration over presidential-elected Donald Trump for not receiving a spot as a member in his coveted cabinet. 

The former Alaska governor and GOP vice-presidential candidate has advocated and supported Trump since 2011. However, in a series of cryptic posts on social media, Palin shared posts from fans questioning why she had not been selected for his cabinet. She posted a screenshot of a fan asking her: “What about you?” Her reply was, “Thank you.”

Palin also posted a rant by one of her supporters to her X and Instagram accounts that labeled her as “Trump before Trump,” again pandering to why she had not been given a spot on his cabinet. 

“President-elect Trump has named his secretaries for VA, Energy, and EPA administrator. Any of those positions I hoped Sarah Palin would get,” the user wrote online, “Salin Palin was Trump before Trump. I have been saying this for years. Sarah Palin is the mother of MAGA. Back then, she was the face of the tea party, which would become the MAGA movement.”

Many Republicans believed Palin to have been a shoo-in candidate for a prominent role in the Trump administration. Some pundits expected the one-time vice-presidential nominee would land a high-profile position, potentially secretary of the interior. During Trump’s 2016 presidential bid, Palin appeared at numerous rallies and delivered speeches on his outsider appeal and conservative credentials. Her endorsement was a significant boost for Trump in securing the Republican nomination.

Despite her loyalty, the anticipated reward has yet to come. Trump’s cabinet announcements have relied on establishment figures and political newcomers, leaving little room for people like Palin. 

On Friday, Trump announced his last appointments – Palin was not among the names.
