Sarah Palin Says She Was Expecting To Be Named Trump’s Energy Secretary, Wasn’t Even Invited To The RNC

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) declared that she would like to serve in President Donald Trump’s second administration.

“Would you ever go into the Trump administration,” NewsNation anchor Leland Vittert asked Palin in a recent interview. “Have you thought about it?”

“Yes, I would love to,” the former Alaska governor replied. “I thought that there would be a position in Energy – in that Department – because that’s my baby – is – wanting energy independence for America. You know, that’s all about the security and sovereignty of our nation, which is to be energy-independent. But that hasn’t happened.”

“I don’t know, Leland,” she added. “There are some gatekeepers around that administration. They are tight!”

Palin leaned into her complaint, “It gets frustrating for those who have a heart to serve.”

“I didn’t even get credentials to attend the GOP convention if you can believe it,” she stated, alluding to last year’s Republican National Convention. “I mean, wow, they’re tight. And I’m the only living Republican nominee who had run for VP or president who supported Trump, and even I couldn’t get in.”

“So, you know, yeah, they’re pretty tight – but no, I’d love to serve,” she said.

During a September 2024 interview with news anchor Rosanna Lockwood on her show Global News Todaythe former governor claimed that Trump is a “much more independent” person than Kamala Harris

She said Trump “has proven that he is for the people” and “wants to be elected by the people.”

In a series of social media posts made in November 2024, Palin seemed to be venting her frustration about Trump for not being given a spot as a member of his presidential cabinet.
