Sarah Palin Plays Tina Fey In ’30 Rock’ Parody Video
Sarah Palin, after years of being impersonated by Tina Fey, flipped the script in a recent 30 Rock parody video.
Sarah Palin Is Tina Fey
In the video put out by conservative site Independent Journal Review, Palin plays sketch show writer “Lynn Melon” in a trailer for a new series called 31 Rock. Palin’s version of Liz Lemon has a deep hatred for political correctness and spews suspect Star Wars trivia.
Joining Palin in the video is her former running mate John McCain, who plays a version of Alec Baldwin‘s Jack Donaghy. Former GOP presidential candidate Lindsey Graham is a page like Kenneth and 30 Rock actor Kevin Brown makes a cameo as well.
31 Rock is “maybe premiering next year,” reports the trailer.
While the faux trailer appears to be promoting Palin’s new book, Sweet Freedom: A Devotional, it incidentally came on the heels of Fey reprising her pitch-perfect Palin impersonation on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The SNL alum was returning to co-host the show with her frequent collaborator Amy Poehler, when she once again took on the erstwhile governor of Alaska.
In the “A Hillary Christmas” sketch, Poehler played 2008 Hillary Clinton to Kate McKinnon‘s 2015 Clinton. While the two are exchanging notes on the race to the White House, Fey’s Palin shows up to point out she was the closest to the White House when she ran as McCain’s vice president against Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
