The feud between Kathy Griffin and Sarah Palin continues.
Making fun of the Palin family has become an integral part of the comedian's routine. Over the last year, Griffin, 50, has publicly ridiculed Palin's daughter Bristol's weight, invited her former boyfriend Levi Johnston to Hollywood events and knocked on the door of the family's home in Wasilla, Alaska, which was captured on camera as part of her Bravo reality show My Life on the D-List. But though she may consider herself your typical hockey mom, the former Alaskan governor has had enough with Griffin's schtick, and has taken to television to make her message clear.
"You know, Kathy Griffin can do anything to me or say anything about me, because you know, she's kind of this – she's a 50-year-old adult bully is really what she is," Palin told Fox News host Jeanine Pirro over the weekend. "She's kind of a has-been comedian and she can do those things to me. I would just ask for respect of my children. As she had stated on CNN that her New Year's resolution was to destroy my 16-year-old daughter, that takes it a little too far." Griffin, a two-time Emmy Award winner for D-List, has shown no signs of letting up on the Palin clan, with a reportedly Palin-inspired guest spot on Glee scheduled for later this spring. Palin encouraged Griffin to continuing take jabs at her and her politics, but advised her to leave her children out of the punchlines. "Kathy, pick on me, come up to Alaska and pick on me, but leave my kids alone," she said. —EMILY EXTON
