Sarah Jessica Parker announced on Tuesday that she recently adopted Carrie Bradshaw’s cat, Shoe.
Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick, brought home the And Just Like That cat – whose real name is Lotus – from the Connecticut Humane Society in April.
Parker took to Instagram to share the news.
“[Lotus] joins Remy and Smila who we adopted in May 2022,” she wrote. “If he looks familiar, that’s because he is.”
In the Sex and the City spin-off, Carrie Bradshaw adopted Shoe after Che (Sara Ramirez) rescued him.
The Connecticut Humane Society shared the exciting news about Lotus on its Facebook page.
“Some pets get really exciting foster homes while they’re here at the Connecticut Humane Society. Little Lotus got to be on the set of And Just Like That with Sarah Jessica Parker in Manhattan,” the shelter exclaimed. “Lotus liked the spotlight so much, he’s decided to stay on the show!”

The season two finale of And Just Like That aired last week. Max has already renewed the series for a third season.
