For the first time in more than 30 years, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson has returned to Sandringham for the British royal family’s Christmas celebrations.

Ferguson was seen with her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, as they walked into the Church of St. Mary Magdalene.

Ferguson and Prince Andrew have been divorced since 1996, although they live together at Royal Lodge in Windsor. They share two daughters: Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and three grandchildren. Beatrice and Eugenie were also seen attending the service.

Prince Andrew has been in many controversies in the recent years due to his ties with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. His associations with him led to him leaving royal life.

However, Ferguson has continued to support him.

“Whatever challenges he has, I will stand firm to the co-parenters that we are together,” Ferguson told People about her relationship with Andrew. “I believe that he’s a kind, good man, and he’s been a fabulous father to the girls.”

The past year has been a hard one for Ferguson, as she underwent surgery after a breast cancer diagnosis.
