Sara Sampaio, the sexy Victoria’s Secret model, stars in the newest racy commercial from Carl’s Jr. for their ‘El Diablo’ burger.
Sampaio stars in the new ad, showing off her catwalk and bikini body in the 30-second commercial.
The new Carl’s Jr. campaign marks one in a series of exciting breakout moments for the young model. Sampaio, 23, was recently featured in the Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Edition as one of their rookies alongside upcoming model Gigi Hadid.
Sampaio was born and raised in Portugal, where her parents and older brother live. In an interview for Sports Illustrated, Sampaio revealed that her obsession with American television helped her learn to speak English – she loves The Vampire Diaries, Scandal and Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
2014 was a big year for Sampaio, who walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway and appeared in Victoria’s Secret and Victoria’s Secret Pink campaigns.
An active Instagram user – Sampaio boasts 1 million followers on the social media site – the model frequently shares photos, both personal and professional. Here’s a few things we learned while looking through her photos:
1) She loves Taylor Swift. Not only did Sampaio share a short video of her and a friend singing along to Swift in the car, she also took a selfie with the singer backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and shared multiple pictures of the two on the runway together.
2) She has a dog named Luigi.
3) She’s also not afraid to stand up for herself.
After Jezebel posted an article titled “Helpful Victoria’s Secret Reminder: Even Models Hate Themselves” about the lingerie brand’s attempts to speak up for body acceptance using a video of Sampaio, the model struck back in a lengthy Facebook post, which she also shared on Instagram. Sampaio called out Jezebel for the title of the article, saying, “I don’t hate myself! I was actually taught by my family to respect and love myself and indeed others! I feel sorry that you were not able to see beyond your own self-serving interest to sensationalize a story, by creating a negative spin on a positive message and making a forgone conclusions about a young ‘model’ you have never met before,” Sampaio wrote.
Sampaio added a plea for women to stand up for each other, concluding, “You are a beautiful young woman, please love yourself and don’t judge other women that you don’t know. As women we need to stand together. We are [judged] and objectified often enough by men. Here is to your feminism. Love Sara.”
