The Talk cohost Sarah Gilbert and her wife, musician Linda Perry, welcomed a son over the weekend.

Sarah Gilbert Gives Birth

Julie Chen, Gilbert’s fellow The Talk cohost, announced the baby news during the show on Monday. “Sara is on maternity leave. She just delivered over the weekend,” Chen revealed. “Our very own Sara and her wife Linda Perry are the proud parents of a new baby boy.”

Chen went on to share that the couple named their son, born Saturday, Feb. 28, Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry, and that “both mother and child are doing well.”

“Pure perfection…we love you Rhodes…Congratulations once again!” Chen added. She also took to Twitter to share her congratulations.

Gilbert, who has two children from a previous relationship with TV producer Alison Adler, announced her pregnancy on The Talk back in September. Gilbert wed Perry in March 2014.
