Sandra Bullock 911 Call Audio Played In Court Hearing Of Alleged Stalker

Sandra Bullock is heard panicking in the 911 phone call she made after seeing an unknown man in her home in June of 2014.

Bullock was at home when a man, Joshua Corbett, broke into her house in June 2014. The Oscar winning actress immediately called the police who arrested Corbett on the scene.

Corbett, 39, now faces “first-degree residential burglary, stalking and possession of a machine gun.” At a hearing on Thursday, the court heard the 911 call Bullock placed after discovering Corbett in her home.

“Someone has broken into my house. I’m in my closet…I just saw them walk up to my attic. I’m locked in my closet. I have a safe door in my bedroom, and I’m in my closet…Come,” Bullock told the operator, clearly afraid.

“The doors downstairs are locked, but I heard them broke in,” she added.

Bullock apparently hid safely in her closet until the officers arrived, and thankfully her young son was not present at the time of the break-in.

While the tape was played in court, Bullock is not expected to testify at the hearing. Officer Jose Bermudez who responded to the call testified that he entered the home and discovered Corbett carrying a letter addressed to Bullock. Bermudez told the court that when Corbett was arrested, “He said, ‘I’m sorry. I love you, Sandy.’”

Paul Takajian, Corbett’s defense attorney, tried to have the stalking and burglary charges dismissed, claiming that the love letter was proof that he meant no harm to the actress, but she was unsuccessful. “The love letter that Mr. Corbett carried with him professed nothing but love and admiration. There is nothing in there about harming her. The people are trying to make more of the case than there is,” Takajian argued.

Corbett is currently being held on a $2 million bail and has entered a plea of not guilty.
