Rock legend Sammy Hagar has announced a joint U.S. tour with his band The Circle and ’80’s rock band Whitesnake. Hagar is known for his solo rock hit “I Can’t Drive 55,” along with replacing David Lee Roth as the lead singer of Van Halen in the mid-80’s. Whitesnake is known for “Here I Go Again,” which reached the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 back in 1987. Supporting the two bands with special appearances on the tour will be fellow ’80’s rock band Night Ranger, known for the song “Sister Christian.” The tour begins July 9 and will stop at more than 25 cities across the United States.

Hagar and David Coverdale, the lead singer of Whitesnake, announced the tour in a short, humorous video posted to Hagar’s YouTube channel. In a segment entitled “Tea-Quila,” the two singers discuss their careers. They also discuss their similarities and differences, which is where the phrase “Tea-Quila” comes from Hagar likes tequila, while David prefers tea. Watch the three-minute video below.
