Sammi Giancola Explains Why She Won’t Be Joining ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’

Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola shared with fans on Instagram why she will not be apart of the cast of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

The ex-reality star shared a photo Friday morning explaining her reasoning. “I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship,” she wrote, adding a heart emoji at the end. “I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS.”

Giancola does admit that not joining the cast was a hard decision, she continued on to say, “However, it was a difficult decision as I love my roomies. I’ve decided to focus on me, my future, and what truly makes me happy. I will forever be grateful to Jersey Shore and everything it has brought to me! I’ve just decided to live my life for me these days.”

At the end of her post she then hints to fans that she is not going anywhere and that might have something upcoming soon. “Also I am forever grateful and thankful for all of you!!!” she says, “Special shout out to my fans, but I’m not going anywhere! Follow me and stay tuned. You never know what I could be up to NEXT!”

Ex-boyfriend and fellow co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro insisted that he is not the reason for Giancola not returning, he noted the two of them are on good terms.

“No bad blood, I’m supporting everything she does,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “Me and Sammi have been done for about three years. I’ve done a single show, Famously Single, I had multiple relationships. We ended on a term that it is what it is, and she chose to move on in a chapter in her life that did not choose Jersey Shore. I chose Jersey Shore, and we all support her as a group.”

“Whatever makes her happy, makes her happy. I can’t judge her for it,” he added.

Even though Giancola will not be returning for the show’s reboot, fans can still expect to see Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino when the show premieres on April 5.
