The Republican National Convention included Republican Rep. Steve King attributing all of civilizations advancements to white members of society and Sheriff David A. Clarke celebrating with the audience the acquittal of officers involved in the case of the murder of Freddie Gray.

After the eventful convention, Samantha Bee and her team at Full Frontal spoke to attendees to get their point of view on the Black Lives Matter movement. The team found that most were seemingly unable to speak the words “black live matter,” instead opting for “all live matter” with little hesitation. The movement was referred to as an “evil organization,” “bordering on domestic terrorism,” that “has no more place in our body politic than the KKK or the skinheads.”

Speaking with a black reporter allowed some attendees to think more critically about the movement and its fundamental motivations. The reporter was even able to get an attendee to say “Black Lives Matter, pending research,” as a start to the journey of gaining understanding.

The interviews can be seen below.
