Sam Smith revealed that he lost 14 pounds in 14 days, and the singer credited UK nutritionist Amelia Freer with his stunning weight loss.

Sam Smith Weight Loss

The Grammy-winning singer announced his weight-loss success with a post on Instagram thanking Freer for her help. In the photo, Smith holds Freer’s book Eat Nourish Glow, a which focuses on eating healthy and cutting out processed foods.

“Amelia Freer has helped me lose over a stone in 2 weeks and has completely transformed my relationship with food. Everyone go check out her incredible book, and start to live healthy,” Smith wrote.

Smith, 22, has been open about his weight struggles in the past, but stressed that he isn’t losing weight just for the sake of being thinner. “It’s not even about weight loss it’s about feeling happy in yourself. Love you Amelia & thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out,” Smith added.

Who Is Amelia Freer?

Freer responded to Smith on Twitter, telling the singer it was “such a pleasure to be working with you and spreading health.”

Health is the key for Freer, who revealed to Good Morning America that she doesn’t believe in the word diet. In fact, she doesn’t consider herself a “weight-loss guru” but a “nutritional therapist.”

“I won’t use the word diet. I don’t believe that any diet works for anyone. For me, it’s all about getting healthy and getting people into good relationships with healthy food – real food,” Freer said.

Freer revealed that she doesn’t advise people to try to make huge lifestyle changes all at once. Instead, she believes people should try to focus on one healthy change at a time.

And, of course, Smith’s somewhat extreme weight loss isn’t all due to Freer’s nutritious guidance. Smith has also been spending time in the gym.
