Sam Asghari Asks For Financial Support From Britney Spears In Divorce Filing, Singer Posts Odd Photo Of Her Riding A Horse

Britney Spears was spotted for the first time since her husband, Sam Asghari, filed for divorce from her. 

The singer was seen driving in her Mercedes-Benz in Los Angeles without her wedding ring a day after the news broke about her impending divorce. The two had been together for five years and married for just over one year. 

Asghari filed for divorce on Wednesday claiming, “irreconcilable differences” as the reason and cited July 28 as their date of separation. 

The document states that Asghari is attempting to gain financial support from Spears but seeks to block her from demanding support from him. He also is seeking to have Spears pay for his divorce lawyers. 

Reportedly, the final straw for Asghari was a blowout argument the two had after he confronted her about cheating allegations. 

Spears has not commented on the divorce but did share a bizarre post on Instagram about buying a horse and including a picture of her in a yellow bikini from her recent vacation with Asghari. “Buying a horse soon 🐴!!!,” the singer wrote. “So many options it’s kinda hard!!! A horse called Sophie and another called Roar 🐎??? I can’t make up my mind 🙈!!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on 😜??? Either way, I think I found my sweet spot with Roar 😘!!!” 

The singer has already hired Laura Wasser, a celebrity divorce attorney, who has represented other clients including Johnny Depp, Kim Kardashian and Kevin Costner. 

This is Spears’ third marriage, her first being in January 2004 to her friend Jason Alexander. The relationship ended quickly as she had their marriage annulled 55 hours later.

Her second was to Kevin Federline, whom she married in 2004. They were together for three years and share two children together, Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom Federline currently has custody of. Her two sons recently moved to Hawaii with their father due to their stepmother’s job. 

Spears and Asghari met when he was hired to work with her on her music video “Slumber Party” in 2016. Asghari has supported Spears for years, including when she checked into a mental health treatment facility in 2019 when her father Jamie had a health scare and when she wanted to end her conservatorship in June 2021. 

Asghari nor Spears have not made an official comment on the divorce.
