Sacha Baron Cohen & Isla Fisher Announce Divorce After 13 Years Of Marriage Amind Rebel Wilson Scandal

Actors Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher are divorcing after 13 years of marriage.

The pair announced their divorce via joint Instagram Stories. They uploaded an image of themselves in athletic wear with the caption, “After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage.”

“We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate you respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”

Cohen, 52, and Fisher, 48, met at a party in Sydney, Australia, in 2001. They engaged in 2004 and married in 2010 after Fisher converted to Judaism. The ceremony was held in Paris. The couple has three children: two daughters and one son.

“[Fisher] was hilarious,” Cohen told The New York Times. “We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party.”

Cohen and Fisher reportedly met with divorce lawyers in the summer of 2023.

After the meeting, Cohen and Fisher later starred in the film The Brothers Grimsby alongside actress Rebel Wilson. In March, Wilson called out Cohen for being a “major a——” in her new memoir, Rebel Rising. Wilson accused Cohen of acting inappropriately during the filming of Borat and The Brothers Grimsby.

A spokesperson for Cohen responded, “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”

In 2014, Fisher spoke to uInterview exclusively about shooting Now You See Me with Dave Franco. Fisher vouched for the 28-year-old brother of James Franco‘s sleight of hand abilities, gushing, “Dave is the only one from this movie – we all, obviously, went through the same magic training and applied ourselves in the same way – but he’s the only one with any natural prowess and is actually, could be a magician. It’s pretty phenomenal to see, seriously,” she added. “He’s the real deal.”
