Sabrina Carpenter, former Disney Channel starlet, announced the highly anticipated Short n’ Sweet North American tour on June 20, set to kick off across the United States and Canada this autumn.
The songstress will be accompanied by a diverse lineup of talented support acts, including Amaarae Griff and Declan McKenna.
Carpenter’s musical journey has been marked by a remarkable transformation, as she has shed her initial Girl Meets World image to become a confident, unapologetic pop powerhouse. Her recent singles, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” have cemented her status as a chart-topping force, and the latter reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Carpenter’s artistic evolution has not been without its share of controversies and speculations. The release of her single “Skin” in 2021 was widely perceived as a response to Olivia Rodrigo‘s chart-topping hit “Driver’s License.” This sparked intense speculation and gossip about an alleged love triangle between the two stars and actor-singer Joshua Bassett. Thus, Carpenter was propelled into the public spotlight.
Carpenter’s upcoming album, Short n’ Sweet, which contains both hit singles, is poised to further solidify her status in the pop music realm and will be released on August 23, 2024.
