TV personality Ryan Searcrest and about five other people got stuck in a Times Square elevator before an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America and were rescued by firefighters.
“Hi, from underneath the ball in Times Square,” the former American Idol host said in an Instagram video. “We’re stuck in the elevator, everybody! We’re supposed to be on Good Morning America, but we can’t get there, so ring the alarm.”
Despite his cheerful visage, Seacrest later confessed being stuck stopped being funny pretty fast.
About 35 minutes after Seacrest’s initial post he sent a video of a grinning New York firefighter prying open the elevator doors to cheers. Seacrest and the others thanked the firefighters and walked out.
