Reps for Ryan Phillippe blasted rumors that the actor was planning on ending his film career due to, ironically, too much media attention.
The misinformation comes from Monday's Page Six, which quoted Phillipe as saying "I think I'm going to end my acting career. I'm so introverted. I'm ready to be behind the scenes. I'm 36, but I've been doing this for 20 years."
A spokesperson for Phillippe now says that the comments were taken out of context. "He's been talking about expanding his talents to producing and directing, but he has no plans to stop acting nor did he ever say that he was considering doing so," the source told Access Hollywood.
This is good news for Phillippe's fans, who are anticipating his role as a photojournalist in the upcoming indie war film, The Bang Bang Club. He currently has four more films in varying levels of production. —KIMBERLY STEELE
