Daddy extraordinaire Ryan Phillippe, 38, gave his ex-wife, Reese Witherspoon, 36, a break from mommy duty since she gave birth to her new son, Tennessee, with hubby and agent Jim Toth two weeks ago, taking their son together, Deacon Reese Phillippe, 9, to soccer practice on Saturday. Tagging along? Phillippe's girlfriend, Paulina Slagter, whom he started seeing after his split from Amanda Seyfried.
The couple soaked up the Brentwood, Calif., sun, dressed down for the game. College student Slagter carried a copy of Michelle Alexander's The New Jim Crow, a book about the rise of a hidden caste system in the United States.
Phillippe fit right in with the other soccer dads, setting up the goals and mingling with the parents while the young Slagter gazed on adoringly. Phillippe also has a girl, Ava Elizabeth Phillippe, 13, with Witherspoon. Ava has been said to be the spitting image of her mom.
Phillippe, who recently starred in The Lincoln Lawyer with Matthew McConaughey and Marisa Tomei, can next be seen in the comedy Straight A's alongside Luke Wilson and True Blood's Anna Paquin, out December 4.
