Ryan Gosling Films ‘La La Land’ With Emma Stone

Ryan Gosling was spotted on the Pasadena set of his new movie La La Land, in which he plays the love interest of costar Emma Stone.

Gosling cut a dapper figure filming La La Land Tuesday afternoon, exiting a vintage red car in black pants, a white button-down and a matching blue jacket and tie combo. He also had on a pair of black and white oxfords to complete the look of jazz pianist Sebastian.

While Gosling filmed the somewhat somber scene, Stone was having a laugh elsewhere on set, running alongside one of her castmates.

In Damien Chazelle‘s La La Land, Sebastian falls for Stone’s character Mia, an aspiring actress. As Sebastian and Mia chase their dreams of stardom, their ambitions take a toll on their young romance. They’re faced with making decisions to keep either their love or their dreams alive.

In addition to Gosling and Stone, La La Land stars J.K. Simmons, who was nominated for an Oscar after working with Chazelle in Whiplash. Finn Wittrock, Rosemarie DeWitt and Sonoya Mizuno also star.

Gosling, who last appeared on the big screen in 2013 flick Only God Forgives, currently has three films in post-production that are due in theaters in 2016 – The Nice Guys, The Big Short and an the Untitled Terrence Malike Project with Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Michael Fassbender and Rooney Mara

La La Land is scheduled for release July 15, 2016.
