Ruth Wilson, Mindy Kaling, Freida Pinto and Andrew Rannells were all in attendance at the 8th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, N.J. Saturday afternoon.
“I really don’t know much—I’m pretty much coming in saying, ‘Teach me. I’m here,’” Pinto told Vogue at the event, admitting that she isn’t too familiar with the sport – but is familiar with the beverage on hand. “And [I’m here for the] champagne. That you don’t have to teach me.”
In addition to sipping the Veuve Clicquot, Pinto hung out with writer and actress Kaling, who posted a picture of the two on Instagram. “I love this girl. Hugging Freida P. at @VeuveClicquot #VCPoloClassic,” Kaling captioned the snap with the Slumdog Millionaire star.
Kaling also bonded with Rannells, on whom she developed a bit of crush. Fortunately for The Mindy Project actress, Rannells returned the affection.
Rannells had an active part in the outdoor fete, as he was tapped to sing the national anthem. Earlier in the day, he had shared a picture of himself rehearsing in Liberty State Park.
