Ruth Bader Ginsburg said that she is “very much alive” in an interview with CNN.

Ginsburg spoke about a senator who said that she was going to be dead in six months.

“There was a senator, I think it was after the pancreatic cancer, who announced with great glee, that I was going to be dead within six months,” she said. “That senator, whose name I’ve forgotten, is now himself dead.”

She then goes on to say the following: “And I am very much alive.”

Ginsburg, who is 86-years-old is the associate Justice of the Supreme Court in the U.S. but she took a break from court in 2018 after undergoing surgery.

During the operation, doctors removed two cancerous nodules from her lung. This is not her first medical procedure, as she has gone under several during her time on the Supreme Court.

She was treated for early stages of pancreatic cancer in 2019 and had a stent placed in her right coronary artery in 2014.

She returned to court on February following her procedure from December.
