The chorus for the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs performed “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams prior to the start of the opening ceremonies for Sochi 2014 Olympic Games.
Sporting their dark green uniforms with yellow aiguillettes, the men’s choir took to the stage at the Fisht Olympic Stadium. All except for the two lead singers also donned their formal police caps for the performance.
The police choir enthusiastically took on the Grammy-winning song before the thousands of people in the audience and millions of people tuning into the broadcast. A conductor, outfitted in a gray suit jacket, guided the group through the EDM song.
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs choir previously performed “Get Lucky” last year and uploaded it on YouTube. The video, which features a fog machine, currently has over 4 million views.
